Meet The Board of The Vanguard SG

Alex Nicholson, an OG Vanguardian. Alex is the man that waves the big Vanguard Flag in the middle of row 1. This isn’t Alex’s first rodeo Leading an SG as he was also co-founder and President of Pride 812, a satellite chapter of The Pride. 

Tom Beversdorf, an OG Vanguardian. Tom also has SG Leadership experience as the Event/ Match Day Coordinator for Pride 812 for two seasons. You might recognize this guy from a certain MLS Memes that appeared after FCC’s first MLS goal in Seattle 2019, he’s “fixed it“ since 😉.

Elizabeth Wagner is an original OG Vanguardian. She has been a season ticket holder in The Bailey since back in the USL days, and you can usually pick her out in the front row with a homemade sign and her famous feather earrings! She’s kind of Our Vanguard Mom, in-charge of everyone’s allowance 🤣!

Meet Della, a new board member in 2026. If you have ever helped paint a Tifo or 2-pole with The Forge, you might have bumped into Della! She is a busy woman between helping new members sign up for The Vanguard and helping create and manage all that goes into the awesome Tifos we see each year at TQL stadium. 

Alex Howard, an OG Vanguardian and year 1 Season Ticket Holder in the Bailey. Alex’s talents are too great to be confined to one role, he creates content, manages Brand Identity, and generally influences all aspects of SG Leadership. Alex is credited with drawing The Vanguard logo and establishing guidelines for Creative to make original content. 

Beth Beversdorf, like all good HR people, is hardly around when you need her and has a lot of experience judging others. Beth is new to The Board in 2026, but she has been dealing with Tom’s BS for 20+ years and her brother Alex’s  (Nicholson) for more than 40 years. She‘s more than qualified to keep people in line.

Brian Girton, who is joining The Board in 2026 with loads of ideas from 2-poles for us to hold to merchandise you can wear! We’re excited to see where his creative talents take us and look forward to a great year of expansion for the Brand. 

Mark Seta might be joining the Vanguard Board in 2026 but he’s been cheering on the Orange and Blue from the Bailey since the USL days. Mark will be managing our social media presence as well as helping update and maintain this website! 

Devan Fabre is an OG Vanguardian and year 1 season ticket member in The Bailey! Devan earns her title every Match Day and will not hesitate to show you why she’s a Leader of The Vanguard and our Bouncer. She makes sure “All Are Welcome”, until they’re not… 

John “The Barber” Sullivan is our Match Day Specialist or CCO! John is new to The Vanguard Board in 2026, but not The Game (You just lost it!) John is not only good at “lining you up” if you visit his shop but he can fill you in on everything The Vanguard has to offer to improve your Match Day Experience 🍺🪓⚽️
